At the end of the 12th century, the Kingdom of Jerusalem found itself locked in a tense stalemate with Muslim forces. Amidst this volatile climate, Conrad I—the man widely expected to become the next king—was assassinated. This historical manga depicts the events leading up to this infamous assassination plot, told entirely from the perspective of two assassins belonging to the Nizari Ismaili sect, famously known as the Order of Assassins.
