Chise was an overworked office worker who absolutely adored animals. Unfortunately, severe allergies meant she could never actually pet the fluffy creatures she loved so much. Then one day, she dies after protecting a cat from an oncoming truck. Impressed by her final act of kindness, a god offers Chise the opportunity to reincarnate in another world. When asked what she wants from her second life, her answer is simple: she wants to spend it surrounded by as many fluffy animals as possible. Her wish is granted, perhaps a little too literally. Reincarnated as an adorable cat-eared beastkin girl, Chise settles into a secluded atelier in the forest and begins pursuing her ideal slow life. With skills for taming and spirit summoning, knowledge of medicine-making, and companions including a slime, Cait Sith and other beastfolk, she finally gets the peaceful, fluffy existence she always dream
